چکیده
The purpose of this paper is to propose an optimization method for shape design Auxetic Bending-Active Gridshells (ABAGs). A 2-dimensional auxetic structure has negative Poisson’s ratio in-plane deformation. Positive Gaussian curvature distributed on a curved surface ABAG obtained by out-of-plane deformation the initial flat grid composed reentrant structural units. We introduce discrete differential geometry into ABAG, which can be easily discretized triangular meshes in accordance with member locations. objective function proposed problem formulated using curvature, defined as angle defect at node. In addition, mean vector used specifying direction convexity. use particle swarm solving problem. It shown numerical examples, that surfaces specified distribution convex region method.

Parametric Deformation of Discrete Geometry for Aerodynamic Shape Design
We present a versatile discrete geometry manipulation platform for aerospace vehicle shape optimization. The platform is based on the geometry kernel of an open-source modeling tool called Blender and offers access to four parametric deformation techniques: lattice, cage-based, skeletal, and direct manipulation. Custom deformation methods are implemented as plugins, and the kernel is controlled...

Discrete Differential Geometry is a broad new area where differential geometry (studying smooth curves, surfaces and other manifolds) interacts with discrete geometry (studying polyhedral manifolds), using tools and ideas from all parts of mathematics. This report documents the 29 lectures at the first Oberwolfach workshop in this subject, with topics ranging from discrete integrable systems, p...

Nowadays, the technology intends to use materials such as magnesium alloys due to their high strength to weight ratio in engine components. As usual, engine cylinder heads and blocks has made of various types of cast irons and aluminum alloys. However, magnesium alloys has physical and mechanical properties near to aluminum alloys and reduce the weight up to 40 percents. In this article, a new ...
